Work with sexual diversity, a necessity in the University of Guantanamo

Abstract

Sexuality from the cultural and historical point of view is the group of emotional, behavioural and practice phenomena associated to the searching of sexual pleasure in human beings throughout life. It is important to pinpoint that sexuality develops and expresses itself in different ways and sexual diversity is a term used to refer to diversity within sexual orientation. An investigation, about methodological alternatives for studying sexual diversity from a cultural point of view and the development of the individual personality taking into account the dialectics relationship between the cultural and educative processes in college, is done. A group of educative activities were developed by the Sexuality and Health Chair at Guantanamo University; through the experience of a provincial multitask group to treat students with different sexual manifestations and to promote in them, a responsible sexual behaviour and an adequate attitude according to our society.
