Il postumano e la ciabatta: ermeneutica e antropocentrismo
Abstract
In this article, starting from Maurizio Ferraris’ philosophy (considered in its three main lines of argument: hermeneutics, aesthetics and ontology), I analyse the assumptions and theoretical implications of the post-human and the philosophy of animality (of continental matrix) in relation to a radically realistic metaphysics. My theory is that all of Ferraris’ production (just as, after all, the production of his main philosopher of reference: Jacques Derrida), is describable in the light of animality as a privileged theoretical entity. In this way, Ferraris demonstrates the existence of a world external to the human subject and challenges anthropocentric philosophy without making any reference to ethics, as happens in the traditional literature on the topic, but remaining anchored to an ontological level.
