Abstract

The writer of this manuscript, Captain J C Knoetze, served as Deputy Assistant Adjudant General NEAS at the UDF Administrative Headquarters in the Central Mediterranean theatre of operations. During this period he was commissioned to compile this history of the NEAS for the Union War Histories Committee. It was dated in Rome on 15 August 1945.
