Theoretical substantiation of the parameters of the debris removal device of the cotton picker apparatus
Abstract
This article presents the results of theoretical studies to substantiate the parameters of the debris removal device of a cotton picker apparatus in the form of injection nozzles installed in front of the entrance to the removal zone, proposed on the basis of a review and analysis of the designs of vertical spindle cotton pickers. The arrangement of nozzles in the cotton picker apparatus and the choice of their rational design parameters allows you to select air flow parameters that ensure the effective removal of impurities that have not managed to penetrate into the deep layers of cotton. By modeling the dynamics of debris removal in a cotton picker apparatus when blowing on the spindles before entering the removal zone, the decisive influence on the effect of debris removal when hitting the protrusion of the drum is shown - the magnitude, direction and point of application of the absolute speed of the center of mass of the cotton, attached to the spindle tooth. The possibility of reducing cotton contamination when blowing spindles before entering the removal zone is shown and the main parameters of the device for these purposes are justified: the angle of installation of the nozzles relative to the longitudinal axis of the device is - 420, the distance from the line perpendicular to the axis of the nozzle and passing through the centers of the drum and spindle to the cut of the nozzle – 0.05 m.
