REITER SYNDROME ASSOCIATED WITH PSORIASIS - CASE REPORT
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present a rare simultaneous appearance of Reiter’s syndrome and Psoriasis vulgaris in the same patient. Reiter’s syndrome was diagnosed according to the specific clinical feature and HLA typization, obtaining thus HLA – B 27 antigen. Diagnosis of Psoriasis vulgaris was established according to histopathological examination of lesional skin. Simultaneously, our patient has the Reiter’s syndrome and Psoriasis vulgaris. This assosiation is rare – it occurs only in 1% of the patients with Reiter’s syndrome, in spite of the fact that both illnesses are characterized by the same HLA – B 27 antigen.
