Design and Research of a Bevel Gear-roller Flat Plate CVT
Abstract
Based on the transmission principle of traditional roller flat plate CVT and the transmission characteristics of bevel gears, a new bevel gear-roller flat plate CVT is proposed, the transmission principle and structural characteristics of the CVT are analyzed, and the mechanical transmission mathematical model between roller and flat plate is established; based on the principles of contact mechanics and tribology, the design and analysis of bevel gear-roller flat plate CVT is carried out. Using Ansys for transient simulation, the results show that the carrying capacity of the new CVT is significantly improved.
