The interest in the study of corrosion is present not only in the scientific field, but also in the economic and environmental fields. In this situation, green corrosion inhibitors emerge as new alternatives because they are renewable and cheap. In view of this, the purpose of this work is to evaluate the influence of the variables and their interactions involved in the corrosion process by weight loss test using guaraná sleeves as a green inhibitor. To help in this endeavor, the Taguchi Method and Analysis of Variance were used. For this work, the orthogonal array L16 was selected and the factors were analyzed at two levels: Presence of the green corrosion inhibitor, temperature, acid medium, test time and material. The variable of response of the experiments performed was the loss of mass of the samples. With the results obtained it was concluded that the guaraná sleeves have great potential for use as green corrosion inhibitors. By assessing the response obtained in the Taguchi method, it has also been found that the most significant factor in the corrosion process in weight loss test is the acid media, followed by temperature of environment; there is no interaction between the factors.
