One-dimensional silver nanoparticles (1D AgNP) were successfully synthesized using Quercus infectoria gall (QIG) extract. The synthesis of 1D AgNP was performed by varying the volume ratio of AgNO3/QIG extract at 1:1, 2:1, 4:1, 8:1. The optimized formation of 1D AgNP was 8:1. UV–Vis analysis shows maximum absorbance at 409–415 nm. Particle size analysis shows average diameter of 1D AgNP is 121.22 nm, which is also confirmed by the FESEM-EDX, and it shows the nanorod structure. The 1D AgNP has a zeta potential of −18.57 mV. This work could provide a facile synthesis of 1D AgNP using less hazardous reducing agent.
