Alcune lettere inedite relative ai rapporti diplomatici fra Carlo VIII e Bologna negli anni 1494-1496

Abstract

This article presents a series of unpublished letters on diplomatic relations between the city of Bologna and the King of France Charles VIII in the significant period of the beginning of the Italian wars in the spring of 1494 and again in the first half of the year 1496. The King of France intended to ensure these troops an easy passage through the Bolognese territory during its descent towards the Kingdom of Naples in the fall of 1494 and again during his project of a new military campaign, with the same objective, in 1496.
