Collaborative Society Needs Institutional Support

Abstract

The growing collaborative society shows that crowdsourced knowledge dissemination is possible at professional level. However, we need institutional support from the governments and universities if we are to bury the hatchet between the professoriate and the crowd. Only involving both, together with NGOs and corporations, will bring this new phenomenon to its full potential.
