THE LINGUISTIC INTERFERENCE (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE KABARDINO-CIRCASSIAN DIASPORA ABROAD AND LITERARY KABARDINO-CIRCASSIAN LANGUAGE)
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of language interference as a form of interaction of different language systems that coexist on the same territory on the example of the Kabardino-Circassian diaspora abroad. The materials sources include the phonoarchive at the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as works that studied certain aspects of language interference. On the the analysis of sources certain features in phonological, lexical, grammatical levels of language, as well as in paradigmatic and syntagmatic relations are revealed. It is phonetic interference that is most evident in speech. The task of the study is to establish the way a native speaker of the Kabardino-Circassian language, being in contact with representatives of another language group, borrows its lexical units, adapting them to the norms of their native language. Selected syntagmatic interference is identified, which manifests itself in the form of resegmentation and enharmonically. It is concluded that the language interference in bilingual speech is a mixture of elements of the native and studied languages. The purpose of the study: to study the language interference in the speech of the Kabardino-Circassian diaspora in comparison with the Kabardino-Circassian literary language, to identify the degree of linguistic interference of the Kabardino-Circassian language in a foreign language environment. Method or methodology of the work. To restore some facts of the history of the Adyghe (Circassian) diaspora abroad, as well as to determine the laws of the transformation of the speech of the Kabardino-Circassian diaspora, a set of methods and techniques were used in this work: the descriptive, comparative, comparative and historical ones. This study is based on an integrated approach to the study, analysis and systematization of a wide range of sources, such as audio records of interviews with respondents of different age and sex groups collected since 2007. To this day, during surveys of the Adygs (Circassians) living abroad, as well as repatriates from Turkey, Syria, Jordan, phonoarchive of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which stores speech records of representatives of the Kabardino-Circassian diaspora, collected during expeditions at different times. Results. The analysis of the empirical material shows that language interference is observed in the speech (language) of the Kabardino-Circassian diaspora abroad under the influence of external and internal factors. It is noted that the interaction of languages of different peoples leads to various foreign inclusions. Phonetic and lexical interference also takes place. The study of the problem of language interference on the example of the speech of the Kabardino-Circassian diaspora abroad makes it possible to analyze in a new way a number of insufficiently studied aspects of the transformation of the Circassian ethnic society living for a long time in a foreign language environment. The scope of the results. The results of this study can be used in the educational process in teaching foreign students the Kabardino-Circassian language in the universities of the North Caucasus, as well as in research work on the study of language processes in diasporas.
