Cyparis, protagonist of Relato de Cenizanovel by MaryseRenaud, is pushed to Fort-de-France, from where he leaves to New York, to finally take part in the construction of the Panama Canal and protect himself from the First World War, living directly the effects of colonialism and modernity.
