Fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) is one of the age-old methods to examine the retinal and choroidal vasculature using dye namely sodium fluorescein. It involves administration of dye intravenously followed by serial fundus photographs using FFA machine with barrier and excitation filters. This review article consists of the basic principles, understanding, interpretation and salient features of FFA for various ocular pathologies.
