Aortic Dissection Cases Presenting with Neurological Deficit

Abstract

Aortic dissection can be fatal in case of underdiagnosis, and early treatment is essential for the survival. Although acute onset of chest or back pain is most common presenting symptoms, some patients might present with atypical findings such as acute stroke, mesenteric ischaemia, renal failure or myocardial infarction. Here, we report two cases presenting emergency room with atypical findings of aortic dissection which diagnosis is made during etiologic work up for ischemic stroke
