Energy indicators of the gas supply system during gas storage and use
Abstract
Below are the measures to be taken in case of gas storage. They have energy-economic justifications, are based on a comparison of costs incurred for storing natural gas in underground wells and the cost of stored gas.Three comparable options were considered, the comparison of which revealed the most expedient option:supplying gas to wells by pressing it in two- or three-stage compressors equipped with an electric motor, and in the case of re-use of gas, when the pressure is reduced - decompression, it is carried out not by throttling, but by the thermodynamic process of expansion in the detander. This will restore 35 … 50% of the electricity consumed in the compression process. If there are sufficient volumes of natural wells, lower the final pressure, for example 6.3 MPa, thus saving significant energy and money.
