DISPLAYING THE CONCEPT OF «SLUZHBA» IN THE MINDS OF CIVIL SERVANTS

Abstract

On the basis of a free associative experiment, the features of the verbalization of the concept of «sluzhba» in the minds of public servants and library workers with different levels of education are elucidated. The main differences between the Ukrainian-speaking worldview of these two professional groups are analyzed on the basis of O. O. Potebniа’s theory of «closer» and «further» values. The attitude to the service on the part of civil servants is characterized. The difference between the concepts of «sluzhba», «robota», «pratsya» in the minds of Ukrainian civil servants is justified. The presence of estimated reactions in each professional group is analyzed.
