Abscopal effect as part of treatment of oligometastatic head and neck cancer: A case report
Abstract
Abstract A 66‐year‐old man with hypopharyngeal carcinoma with a single bone metastasis was treated with definitive chemo/radiotherapy omitting local treatment of the single bone lesion. He remained relapse‐free for 6 years. We have concluded that radiotherapy‐dependent abscopal effect might have allowed to avoid ablative treatment of metastatic site.
