Alyiah of Romanian Jews – socio‑statistical facts (historical approach)

Abstract

This paper addresses the issue of alyiah of Romanian Jews to Israel, before and after its establishment. It discusses the topic of emigration by analyzing the socio-political factors that determined and influenced it, and by employing a historical approach. The main emigration periods to be considered are: before the Second World War, during the WWII, and after the establishment of the Israeli state.
