Fragments de la pensée manuelle

Abstract

Using excerpts selected from a corpus of our films, we show the construction of manual thinking. We put these extracts in dialogue with each other, based on the theme of gesture that run through them. We analyse the gesture of sport and work. The gesture speak to us of masculine and feminine skills and know-how. We pay particular attention to the body, and more specifically to the hands, because they are an expression of the social and bodily identity of the person(s) filmed and are the "extension of manual thinking".
