The Educational Requirements of Childhood from the Perspectives of Islamic Teachings and Psychology

The present study was conducted with the purpose of extracting the educational requirements of childhood from Islamic texts and psychology. The main question was this: What are the most important educational strategies and solutions consistent with the changes and characteristics of childhood? This study applied a descriptive-analytical and Ijtihadi methodology. By searching in Islamic teachings and psychological-educational teachings, the most educational requirements of childhood are as follows: 1. Intimate and emotional relationship with children. 2. Relationship based on games and storytelling. 3. Cognitive responsiveness consistent with children's understanding. 4. Alignment of contents with children's psychological change. 5. Observance of the principle of graduation. 6. Relationship style based on cognitive and emotional change. 7. Taking advantage of pattern learning. 8. Simplification of messages and making use of step-by-step and gradual education in educating children.
