In this article I have tried to make problematic the meaning of political participation and representation of women from the different positions maintained by the different sectors of the feminist movement. Likewise I expect to reveal to what extent it is possible a legilsative development that promotes the political representation and participation of women (quotas, principle of equal representation, equality) in the current system which is considered by a liberal law that sees itself as universal and neutral where the consideration of any mark culturaly construed (sex-gender) puts at risk or in question its not supposedly marked subject. The basic issue is to know the women¿s interests and needs in current patriarchal systems of consent in order to pose plausible alternatives aimed at finishing with the situation of inequality that women live within.
