TALES FROM LONG AGO BY IVANA BRLIĆ-MAŽURANIĆ ON THE PUPPET THEATRE STAGE
Abstract
The purpose of the paper is to answer the question are the Tales of Long Ago by Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić adaptable for the puppet theatre. The paper speaks about the elements of these tales as they are discussed in the researches of contemporary scientist, both in the theory and history of literature and theory of puppetry. The conclusions are linked in analysing four puppet shows based on the three stories and performed in the City Puppet theatre in Rijeka between the years 1965. and 2005., suggesting the answer of the question asked in the beginning.
