Renewable energy sources are becoming increasingly popular today due to the depletion of fossil fuels. Solar energy is a sustainable and environmentally benign energy source that exploits renewable resources, thereby contributing to creating employment opportunities in a number of fields. Output power and irradiance are two important parameters for photovoltaic production systems. The use of affordable mirrors is a promising approach to reflecting and concentrating linear sunlight. In this article, the implementation of mirrors to increase the power output and irradiance of solar panels is presented. TRNSYS does not have any components for the mirror. Therefore, in this study, the EES tool is used to create mirror components. On the other hand, two software tools, TRNSYS and EES, have joined together. The results show that power and irradiance are the main parameters that increase with the installation of mirrors in the PV system.
