Choral music and identities in Tanzania

Abstract

In her doctoral research, Lampinen explored the connection between choral repertoires and identities within church choirs in one Lutheran Diocese in Northern Tanzania. The participants in this research were a group of choir conductors in this diocese. The concept of identities was approached from individual, social, and group aspects as well as religious, ethnic, and national viewpoints.
