Anxiety Management by Relaxation Approach: Quranic Verses

Background: Everyone has experienced problems whose solution is beyond human power. Such a situation would definitely result in anxiety. This paper identified and classified solutions for anxiety suggested by Quran and hadith. Methods: This review study, valid websites, articles, theses, religious books including Quran and Nahj al-Balagha, and Quran software programs containing issues related to anxiety and relaxation were evaluated. Results: Although modern scientific developments claim to control stresses in life, none of them has actually been effective. In fact, recent medical efforts failed to reduce psychiatric diseases. Quran is the best refuge for those with faith. Faith without doubt is the most effective treatment for anxiety. As Quran says: "Those who believe and have not confounded their belief with harm security belongs to them; and they are guided". Conclusion: The present study identified causes of and methods to prevent anxiety according to Quran. The results were described in detail in two groups of anxiety prevention and anxiety management.
