As it is customary in Pedro Almodóvar’s last films, the images in The Skin I Live In (2011) are also organized into iconographic programmes. These visual arrangements arise from `trans´ operations, both in the body (transexuality, transgenesis, and trasplant), and in the text (transtextuality). This article focuses in the genealogy and formalization of those programmes as well as in the analysis of theoretical issues resulting of this study –the relationship body/identity or the so–called wall of screens, among others– which are deeply embodied in the film.
