La normalización de la gestión editorial de la revista CIENCIA UNEMI (2008-2015)

Abstract

This is a research paper whose objective is to evaluate the adjustment of the journal CIENCIA UNEMI to international standardsof presentation of regular publications and the evaluation of the quality of the editorial process in this journal. The sample wasrepresented by the numbers ranging from 2008 to 2015 of the journal CIENCIA UNEMI. For the development of the methodologywas used an adaptation of the evaluation model proposed by Delgado Lopéz-Cozar et al. (2006), who take into consideration thestandards ISO 8, ISO 2015, CBE 1994, UKSG 1994, ANSI, ACS 1997, among others. The results showed an average of normalizationof 84%, which was obtained from those sections considered fundamental in the current mechanisms of scientific dissemination.Analysis of standardization and the editorial process indicates a good level; however, improvements are recommended.
