What is the Kindergarten: aspects for a panel of discussions on defenses in conflict in the history of Brazilian Early Childhood Education (1960)
Abstract
In this article, we present aspects of the teaching manual What is the Kindergarten to a panel of discussions on defenses in conflict in the history of Brazilian Early Childhood Education in the 1960s. This article is due to the discussions originated in the didactic discipline, In the lines of research on the history of education, centrally, on historical aspects of Didactics in didactic manuals elaborated in the scope of public educational policies, as in the mentioned manual, published in the Brazilian-American Assistance Program for Elementary Education - PABAEE - developed in Belo Horizonte-MG. The method of data analysis used was that of Content Analysis, by Bardin (1977), which consists in focusing on the different constitutive aspects of its meaning, such as: the historical moment and social place in which it was produced. Childhood; Intended audience; Objectives and needs, as well as contributions to the training of primary teachers in Brazil, at the historical moment of publication of this manual.
