IN UTERO DIAGNOSIS OF DUODENAL ATRESIA

Abstract

Duodenal atresia can be fatal unless promptly diagnosed and treated surgically. Death occurs in the newborn secondary to emesis, aspiration, and electrolyte imbalance. Here, we report a case of duodenal atresia diagnosed by ultrasonography at 28 weeks’ gestation. Key Words: Ultrasound, duodenum, atresia.
