Active learning is a method of learning that focuses the active role and involvement of students in learning activities. General Education, an educational program as defined by the Ministry of Education, aims to prepare students’ skills for being 21st century citizens. This research examined students’ opinions on various learning activities, the reasons held for the activity they liked the most, and their perception of the learning process. The results showed that the majority of students agreed that physical play, decision - making games, brainstorming and story - telling were fun activities that encouraged their thinking and involvement. It was also found that diverse learning activities offered opportunities to reach and engage all students in large classrooms who liked general education subjects, all students with difference in learning styles, and all students from different academic disciplines. This research promotes the active learning approach with student centric focus through the use of fun, interesting and diverse activities that will increase the chance to reach all students, motivate their learning and not leave any students behind
