Preservation of traditions and introduction of innovations in the blacksmith art of Ukraine from 1970 to the present
Abstract
The native blacksmithing during the period of its second revival between 1970 and today is considered. Blacksmithing was and remains one of the most popular and widespread kinds of cultural field in many countries of the world, including Ukraine. Smith fishing had both features of folk art and professional. The same art of the blacksmith was from the craft of general needs to the high art. The development of arts and crafts started the preservation of national traditions and traditions of folk culture. It should be remembered that the smith was always a professional, which radically distinguished it from representatives of other jobs of folk art that could coexist with rural or urban economy (weaving, pottery, wickerwork, etc.). Smith earned money with professional work. The study of the development of native blacksmithing process proves the peculiarities of this development, which were associated with the interference of ideology in cultural processes. Blacksmithing and jewelry have become the hallmark of backstopping. Nowadays, native blacksmith actively runs in the overall visual process of the state at the level of painting, graphics, sculpture, visual arts. Contradictions about the ways of development of blacksmith›s art in Ukraine are still the themes of round tables, debates, diploma theses, candidate and doctoral dissertations. In one conclusion almost all scientists are equally solidary. We are talking about practically destroyed and subsequently restored such areas of domestic fine arts as jewelry art and blacksmithing, which already at the border of the 20th and 21st centuries showed rapid development results, and at the end of the first decade of the 20th century have reached the level of developed countries in the artistic sense of the world.
