Abstract This is a pediatric trauma simulation case designed for instruction of medical students and residents. The content is presented in an outline simulation case form. The education goals are to demonstrate an appropriate primary assessment of a pediatric trauma victim, complete an appropriately timed secondary survey, and recognize and treat hypovolemia due to internal hemorrhage. In addition, this resource aims to demonstrate the correct sequence of steps to diagnose/rule out potential intra-abdominal and pelvic pathology, obtain appropriate laboratory and radiology studies, and initiate a timely surgical consult. After participating in this case, the student will be better prepared to lead a pediatric trauma resuscitation.
