Microplastic is considered as threat to the terrestrial environment. This study analyzed microplastics contamination in four different agricultural farmlands using stereomicroscopic and spectroscopic (ATR-FTIR) analysis. Total 32 samples were collected and analyzed for microplastics contamination in farmland. About 22 MPs particles (size: 1–5 mm) have been found. 2-types of MPs (mean: 0.12 ± 0.23) were found in rural farmland, 9 MPs (0.499 ± 0.48) in sub-urban farmland, 6 MPs (0.355 ± 0.553) in urban farmland and 5 MPs (0.315 ± 0.476) in near metropolitan farmland. Fragments were the dominant microplastics than others (films, fiber, and spherules). Hence, further research is needed.
