It was attempted at the Veterinary Hospital of UNOESTE, Presidente Prudente, SP, a 5-month-old Persian cat, with main complaint of plate grown dark in right cornea that was increasing progressively in a slow way there are about three months, intense ocular discomfort, epiphora, pain and blepharoespasm. In the clinical exam were observed blackened plate of amorphous characteristic in the center of the cornea, corneal edema and neovascularization. The animal was diagnosed as feline corneal sequestration and suggested the surgical treatment. The surgical technique was of superficial keratectomy, leaving the whole area blackened present in the cornea. After the keratectomy, a conjuntival pediculated flap was accomplished with the intention of repairing the lesion caused in the cornea. The treatment prescribed consisted with the eye drops instillation of condroitin sulfate A associated with ciprofloxacin and diclofenac. The animal returned to every week, for six weeks, for ophthalmic revaluation. With 30 days after surgical the pediculated flap was removing presenting good corneal cicatrisation. The present report had as objective collaborates with the supply of more data for the veterinary ophthalmology on the diagnosis and treatment of the feline corneal sequestration.
