Abstract

Invisible architects of the digital world, the actors of free software are of importance often ignored by the general public in the development of tools that we use without thinking about all our connected objects. As a non-homogeneous community, the people involved in free software have, as in any human society, sometimes ambiguous positions, both in their practices and in the interpretation of the ideals that motivate them.
