The elderly will be an increasingly important segment of the tourist market. In order to effectively use this potential and to create an attractive offer for seniors it is necessary to earlier diagnosis of their expectations, preferences, and behaviors of tourist. In this article author presented the level of participation of older people in tourism, reasons and barriers to taking trips, their form and frequency, sources of information and rationale for selection specific offer, the organization of trips, the preferred company, means of transport, period, direction, type of board and lodging and the type of activity and way to spend time during the trip. The study was conducted among 328 people aged 60 and older.
