The principles of human organ transplantation procedure
Abstract
The principles of human organ transplantation procedure must meet two requirements: the requirement of humanity, which all medical activities are based on, and the requirement for patients' protection and the preservation of human and personal rights of every human being, during one's lifetime and after death. In Serbian law, the following principles are established as fundamental ones: the protection of interests and dignity of the organ donor and the organ recipient; voluntarity; medical justification and safety; and equal availability of human organs. Every person having a medically established need and justification for human organ transplan-tation should be subject to equal conditions for receiving a human organ.
