The Essence of professionally oriented variative foreign language education is to provide students with the freedom of choose an educational option from a variety of content, methods and forms used in teaching in a higher school. To implement the system in educational practice, specially developed educational materials are necessary. Purpose. The article is devoted to the creation of technology of the variative learning resources development. It is noted that there is a need to have several options in the textbooks, providing real freedom of choice. Methodology. The analysis of foreign language textbooks for students of agro technological University showed the absence of learning resources in narrow areas of training that means there are not implement the professionalization of education in a higher school and educational options aimed at the individualization of the educational process. It shows the need of creating of the technology of educational materials development. Results. The author presents the technology of educational materials development, which provide variative foreign language education. The textbook “English for Safety Engineering” has been developed. Practical implications. The results of the study can be applied in the practice of foreign languages teaching in the non-linguistic higher schools.
