New species of the genus Odontotrypes Fairmaire, 1887 (Coleoptera: Geotrupidae) from Yunnan Province (China)

Abstract

Two new species of the genus Odonthotrypes Fairmaire, 1887 are described from Yunnan (China): O. (Odontotrypes) caverniferus Nikolajev, sp. n. and O. (Odontotrypes) duplopunctatus Nikolajev et Kolov, sp. n. Both species are closely related to the type species of the genus. A possibility of finding of some new Odonthotrypes species closely related to the type species of the genus in the eastern areas of the Yunnan Province in the highlands ridges located between Yangtze and Mekong rivers is forecasted.
