A description of Warmia‘s Sanctuaries in the Warmia Calendar of the Expelled Germans. The functionalization of this thems in literary and paralliterary texts This article discusses the model of folk religiousness represented by the popular “Warmian Home Calendar” published after the World War II in West Germany since 1949. This article discusses this issue based on an analysis of calendar texts dedicated to Warmian sanctuaries in chronological order. The calendar‘s functions and the publishing strategies adopted by different authors changed with the inclusion of the expelled Warmian Germans in the West-Germany community.Selected examples point to various modes and methods of conveying open and hidden messages in the published texts, which enables to define calendars as carriers of intentional content.
