Ac signals are accurately measured by using Thermal Converters (TCs). In this paper, ac voltages are automatically calibrated as an example by the Thermal Voltage Converter (TVC) with changing the sequence of the applied signals. 1 V, 10 V, and 100 V at different frequencies from 50 Hz to 100 kHz are measured. The three different sequences are sequence #1 which is (+dc, ac, -dc), sequence #2 which is (ac, +dc, -dc, ac), and sequence #3 which is (ac, +dc, ac, -dc, ac). The effect of changing the applied sequence is studied to have the more precise and accurate performance. In order to achieve switching between ac and dc at regular and precise intervals and the comparison is made sequentially, a LabVIEW program is especially built for this study. The uncertainty budgets for the different ac voltages are also evaluated.
