Abstract

How to achieve convergence and coherence between management practice and theory to reflect on the environmental sustainability and human issues in the mining sector? In this paper, the social reality of the mining sector and sustainable management are approached in two ways that emerge from an interdisciplinary study of the human issues of management. Firstly, the way of the social structure reconstruction, which requires access to the production of knowledge and the specific experiences of the sector.Secondly, the way of the understanding and interpretation from the study of the sustainable management, the social structure and social capital.
