Review Essay: Locating the Church in the World: Ethnography, Christian Ethics, and the Global Church
Abstract
Two important church-and-the-world Catholic theological emphases have recently arisen: firstly, how ethnographic research affects moral theology and ecclesiology, and secondly, moral theology being done consciously within the “world church” context. Both emphases point to the importance of human experience as a rich theological source of moral reflection.
