The materials and results of sociological research of the careers of teachers of additional education of children in the context of the process approach are presented. The views of teachers about the career process are analyzed. Sociological interpretation of career processes of this category of employees of additional education of children on criteria of career awareness is given; сareer planning / spontaneity; forms of the career process; dynamism of career; exogeneity / endogeneity of the career process; objective career opportunities; result of a career; social mobility.
