In the last two decades, research on latinamerican dominant classes has notably increased. Nevertheless, most of them focus on national societies as a whole, or have only the countries’ capital cities as an empirical reference. Taking into account the complexity and multiple localization of capitalist relations, we suggest that the study of domination in a sub-national level is necessary to explain Latin-American elites’ configuration. Thus, the thesis has, as its main object, the business elites of the province of Córdoba, Argentina, between 2015 and 2019. In this chapter, specially, drawing on historical sociology main findings, we take upon the historical reconstruction of the province particularities, from an economic, political and social point of view. With this, we aim to move forward in the characterization of different inequality mechanisms that can later provide tools to understand the configuration of provincial elites and their sociability frames.
