This work investigates the historical development of the Débora Arango Arts Technological Institute, from its gene-sis in the first music and arts classes taught at the Miguel Uribe Restrepo Culture Center, to the transition process to the new campus in the Débora Arango Cultural Center. Based on interviews with the founding teachers Jhon Man-uel Restrepo, Edwin Vélez, the rector Juan Carlos Mejía Gi-raldo and the Academic Vice-rector, Paola Cristina Gómez Cano, an attempt is made to recognize the constitutive ele-ments that allowed the consolidation of a pedagogical proj-ect that tends towards integration, knowledge and artis-tic practices, discover in this complexity of administrative management, the pillars of teaching that gave rise to aca-demic production within the framework of the PFI. Resigni-fy the laborious process that allowed the development of an articulated system that currently stands as an institutional management model and achieved recognition from the Co-lombian Ministry of National Education with the qualified registration of 16 education programs and the commitment of the Municipality of Envigado so that today the project of its own campus is a reality on the verge of materializing. An investigation that arises with the intention of contribut-ing to the construction of new knowledge related to artistic practices and contributing to the consolidation of the insti-tutional history and identity as Débora Arango Technolog-ical Arts. Finally, this study seeks to invite reflection from the Cultural Projects school to establish the theoretical lines that will promote future cultural studies, the methodolog-ical perspectives on creation and the institutional future as an academic project for the reconstruction of the social bonds, the contribution to the construction of public policies in the creative sector and the strengthening of cultural eco-systems, from management, research, and creation.
