Dicionário infantil bilíngue Terena – observações e apontamentos
Abstract
This study aims at analyzing a dictionary of an indigenous language, more specifically, it reviews a lexicographic dissertation entitled “O Léxico da Língua Terêna. Proposta do Dicionário Infantil – Bilíngue Terêna-Português”, defended in 2005, within University of Brasília (UnB). Our analysis argues, basically, on the structural form of the dictionary – macrostructure and microstructure – (SVENSÉN, 2009; BARTHOLOMEW & SCHOENHALS, 1983; BARBOSA, 1993; LANDAU,1989), as well as on the explanation of linguistic resources of the terena language presented along the dissertation (BUTLER & EKDAHL, [1979] 2012; Bendor-Samuel, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1966), and also conceptions of language and education, since the main objective of the work referred (to), is its use at Terena schools.
