Between threads and knots: weaving a network of knowledge in a school on the island
Abstract
This work seeks to discuss the results of a research carried out within the scope of an Education of the Field from a school inserted in a community of artisanal fishermen, located in the municipality of Guaraqueçaba, on the coast of Paraná. The aim of the study is to understand how the discursive practices produced within a multiyear room, constituting the initial years of the Ilha Rasa - PR school, can produce and/or enable dialogical relationships between the local knowledge of Rural Education with scientific knowledge of Science Teaching. The research's theoretical-methodological path assumes a qualitative character and uses the techniques and procedures pertinent to the case study method and ethnographic research in the educational field. Data analysis is based on the analysis of the French line of discourse. The potentialities and challenges of relating local knowledge with scientific knowledge are identified, recognizing that the discursive practices that appear at school and circulate in the community generate tension in these spaces. The need for rural subjects to create strategies to overcome apparent gaps in the community and advance with educational projects that seek to interrogate the processes of subjectivation in which emancipatory discursive and pedagogical practices are produced is evident.
