Abstract

This article aims to provide a symbolic reading of Los girasoles ciegos (2004) through twoconcepts: light and darkness. This paper deals with the meaning of the title, and it comments thedisposition in the narrative structure of the novel, and the value of duality in every chapter of AlbertoMéndez’s work (1941-2004).
