Does Economic Crisis Affect Sustainable Development?

Abstract

The main objective of our work is to show how sustainable development is defined and measuredand to highlight the impact of economic crisis on social, environmental, economic and institutional of thisconcept. Our paper is focused on 3 dimensions regarding sustainable development: first section is oriented tocreate an theoretical approach of the sustainable development aspects that include an old and new literaturereview in this respect, the second part present the sustainable development indicators and the final sectionmake an analyze (case study) about the level of sustainable development indicators in Romania, comparingwith EU-27, in the actual context of financial crises.
